Mrs. S Chetan Priya is currently working as an Assistant Professor at New Royal College of Nursing Bangalore. It gives me immense pleasure to present this textbook on Adult Health Nursing, designed specifically to meet the academic and clinical needs of nursing students. Adult Health Nursing is a vital area in nursing practice that focuses on the care of individuals during adulthood, promoting health, preventing illness, and managing various medical and surgical conditions. With the increasing burden of chronic diseases and complex health conditions, nurses play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care. This book has been carefully structured to provide a clear understanding of concepts related to adult health, including pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic evaluation, medical and surgical management, and nursing interventions. Special emphasis has been given to the nursing process, critical thinking, and holistic patient care. Efforts have been made to present the content in a simple, concise, and student-friendly manner. Illustrations, tables, and clinical examples are included to enhance understanding and facilitate practical application in clinical settings. This textbook aims not only to support students in their academic success but also to prepare them to become competent, compassionate, and skilled nursing professionals. I sincerely hope that this book will serve as a valuable resource for students, educators, and practicing nurses. I express my gratitude to all those who supported and guided me in the preparation of this book.
